Every winter at Cannactiva we celebrate the magic of the season with a unique postcard. This year, the postcard is inspired by the essence of the night and the wisdom that emanates from the darkness, and it is illustrated by Adolfo Serra. And to go with the tranquillity and mystery of the long winter nights, we have launched the exclusive Bubba Dream CBD flower (Platinum Kush) and a special gift for Cannactivists.
Bubba Dream (Platinum Kush) is our new limited-edition indoor CBD flower, carefully grown to offer a deep, relaxing experience. With its unique terpene profile and balanced effects, it is the perfect companion for the long winter nights, inviting you to reflect and find peace in the stillness of the darkness.
Cannactiva winter postcard
Once upon a time, on a cold winter night, a man was desperately searching for his house keys under the light of a streetlamp. An owl, drawn by the murmur, landed on a nearby branch and asked:
“Are you sure you lost them here?”
Frowning, the man replied:
“No, I think I lost them in the gloom of the forest, but there’s light here and I can see better.”
The owl tilted its head and, with its piercing gaze, whispered:
“Sometimes you have to venture into the darkness to find what really matters.”
Turn off the light, close your eyes, stay silent and go within. Dreams and stars, which only appear in the absence of light, whisper the way to finding the keys to your home.
About the postcard’s illustrator: Adolfo Serra
Adolfo Serra is an explorer of blank pages. He studied Advertising and Public Relations, but soon returned to his childhood passion: drawing. He took up pencils and watercolours again at the Escuela de Arte 10 in Madrid. Since then, his desk has filled up with colours, papers and textures. For him, to illustrate is to decide, to illustrate is to tell, to illustrate is to observe, to illustrate is… to feel.
His illustrations have been selected for the Bologna Children’s Book Fair (Italy), the Biennial of Illustration Bratislava (Slovakia), the Sharjah Children’s Book Fair (United Arab Emirates), the Catálogo Iberoamericano de Ilustración (Mexico), the CJ Picture Book Awards (Korea), the Mostra Internazionale d’Illustrazione per l’Infanzia Sàrmede (Italy) and the China Shanghai International Children’s Book Fair (China).

Seasonal gift: white sage smudge stick
As a gift, every winter postcard comes with a white sage smudge stick. A smudge stick is a bundle of white sage that is burned to release a fragrant smoke. In fact, it is much more than dried-herb incense: the origins of smudge sticks are deeply rooted in many different cultures. Today, the use of these bundles has gone beyond its ritual roots, and they are used in meditation, to relax and to connect with yourself.
